Limits/Jacked Up by MV & EE With The Golden Road

A new MV/ EE with the Golden Road 7" has arrived courtesy of Golden Lab Recordings of Manchester. Its a double headed affair with 'Limits' taking the helm and it proper takes the bull by the horns does this tune. It fucking rocks!! Hazy lazy sounding blues which sounds like it's all about to collapse at any moment but it's held together by the wonkiest sounding guitar and solid sturdy sounding drumbeat which would make Ringo's mum proud. It's proper fuzzy sounding and it's got to be the most stoned sounding music I've ever heard. I'm feeling shitfaced just listening to it... it's a dirty scuzzy tune swathed wth a lazy summerry pop vibe. The flipside is called Jacked Up (which is what they sound like) and this has a much more mellow laid back thing going on. Psych fuzzy guitars again though with no beat to keep 'em sweet, this one dawdles and hangs around like your head like flies around dead things. it;s good but its all about the A side for me! Great stuff!!

Side A is called 'Limits' and it's a full Golden Road blaster with riffs as meaty as a New York deli sandwich, ripped-up MV vocals and swirling EE vocals through a fat Leslie speaker. Side B is a sleww, stonnnned (possibly 4-track) recording called 'Jacked-Up' with a haunting, almost dissonant vocal from MV and one of the greatest examples of Erika Elder's intuitive, whacked-out lap steel playing we've yet heard. There are only 300 copies, so get in quick if you want some.
