Noah And The Whale - The First Days of Spring

The First Days of Spring by Noah And The Whale

The First Days of Spring is an album and a film by Noah and the Whale.

The follow-up to the London-based quartet’s Top 5 Gold-selling 2008 debut Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down, The First Days of Spring is available as a CD, download and a Deluxe Edition CD/DVD package comprised of the 11-track album and a 50 minute film directed and written by the band’s Charlie Fink.

The album was recorded in London and New York with producer Emery Dobyns (Patti Smith, Antony & The Johnsons). The film, meanwhile, was shot on location in London and Surrey, with Charlie, who has in the past shot promo videos for his band, in the director’s chair. The film has an ensemble cast which includes the model Daisy Lowe, and was given its first public airing in a special presentation at Latitude Festival this July. Noah and the Whale will be performing various songs from the new album for the first time at other festivals this summer including Glastonbury, Hop Farm, Secret Garden Party and Reading/Leeds.
