What the fuck? How are Placebo still going? Has someone not shot them yet? 'The Never-Ending Why' is the new single. It should be the Never-Ending Whine. Bad chugging euro rock with chinking xylophone and a chorus that they probably borrowed from a Europe song. This is what they were increasingly in danger of becoming. I remember the guy from Slipknot saying how he watched them from the stage after his band had just nearly broken themselves at the Reading/Carling festival & how DEPRESSED he felt that after all Slipknot's work, this shitehawk midget & his two miserable comrades came on & squawked some puny nihilistic dribble into a polystyrene cup after they'd made a super steaming pot of audio tea. That's my metaphor for the day. And to think I loved that first album.....7" picture disc with shit writing on.Placebo have been in repugnant form of late, with their
latest album going Top 5 in 20 countries and confirming
their status as one of the world’s dullest bands.
