O Children are somehow reminding Brian of Arcade Fire??? I've not heard either Arcade Fire (what am I missing?) or O Children so I'll have to take his word for it. O Children are the much tipped/hyped London indie rock band who have obviously spent to much listening too (but not hearing...) Joy Division. The vocals on 'Dead Disco Dancer' are pure Ian Curtis. Can't say I think much of the tune but there's certainly some decent new wave influences in there, somewhere. 'Dead Eye Lover' is the sound of Duran Duran fronted by Ian Curtis. Are these guys a joke band? I'm fucking serious.....This is well ballcock.

First single from the hesitantly tipped London band, O.Children is a limited edition 7”. The 150 copies given to Deadly Records sold out in a day via the mailing list with only the remaining 150 available for purchase. And that’s it. No more. (thank fuck) First single of such a comedic, excrutiatingly hilarious band…mmmn, we recommend washing your hands of one. phwoarr.

With head droops towards Joy Division, Nick Cave and the shitter end of New Wave their live shows have driven audiences away in London and the album (due May 2010) is suitably dreaded.
