Year's Not Long/Heaven's Stranger by Male Bonding/Eat Skull

4...according to our on Fri 04 Sep, 2009.

The first of a number of split double AA side singles from Tough Love records sees Portland, Oregon's Eat Skulls buddied up with Londoners Male Bonding. 'Heaven's Stranger' by Eat Skull is a poptastic lo-fi blow-out of epic proportions. Organs wail and vocals grate in just the right way. The Male Bonding track 'Year's not long' is a right lively little psyche garage number with some top riffage and a reverb treated vocals. Both tracks display effortless lo-fi cool. The artwork is designed by Male Bonding drummer Robin Christian Silas and it's well nice.

Woooooo yeah!! heres a hot one for ya....these will not sit about..Tough Love Records issue the first in a series of double A side split singles designed to bring together musical kindred spirits. Featuring a track each from London-based three-piece Male Bonding and Portland, Oregon s Eat Skull, the record showcases the breadth and ingenuity of the emerging lo-fi scene. Limited to just 500 copies and with artwork designed by Male Bonding drummer Robin Christian Silas, the 7 is both a direct embodiment of the DIY spirit and destined to be a rare collectors item. Eat Skull, one of our fave US acts of past coupla years drop a super limited 7" (we're getting 400...no snoozing possible!)split with some UK kins of sweet abrasive pop "grunge"..Male Bonding..this being MB's fourth split to date, they've now gone and only signed to SUB POP: the first UK band for 10 years...signed to Sub Pop, you know, that label that pretty much invented the good music of the late 80s / 90s...no returns, no deals, no hanging about..
