Willard Grant Conspiracy - Paper Covers Stone

Paper Covers Stone by Willard Grant Conspiracy

“As brave & inventive as it is frequently surprising – a magnificent montage of reworkings of
already classic material & instantly essential new songs” - Pennyblack Music.

Raw, intuitive and minimal, ‘Paper Covers
Stone’ is the ninth album from Willard Grant
Conspiracy and a stark contrast to the full
orchestration of 2008’s ‘Pilgrim Road’. Yet
both records share the same willingness to
experiment that has marked the band’s releases
right from the very first album, ‘3am Sunday
At Fortune Otto’s’ in 1996. ‘Paper Covers
Stone’ can be seen, just as with the intransitive
results of the game the title of the record is
borrowed from, as the latest example in the
strange loop that connects them all.
