The latest offering from Japan's Symbolic Interaction is a CD by Ard Bit called 'Spanon'.Ard Bit is the work of Ard Janssen who as far as I can tell has only had a couple of tracks out on compilations for On Records and N5MD. So it would appear that this is his debut album and it's a thoroughly enjoyable listen. Essentially it's an album of well crafted electronics, and cold electro. Phil has just spewed a whole bunch of reference points including Funkstorung, Neo Ouija, Cottage Industries etc. There is a slight dubstep influence at times in terms of some of the basslines. It veers from the slightly abstract to straight up accessible head nodding grooves with some smart melodies hovering about.1. Spanon
