Continued Story/Hi, How Are You? by Daniel Johnston

First time ever available in Europe are reissues ‘Continued Story’ / ‘Hi, How Are You’,
digitally re-mastered and with new packaging, fold out booklet, all lyrics and drawings.

‘Hi, How are You’ was the second album Daniel
Johnston made in Texas. He had written hundreds
of songs before moving from his home in West
Virginia, some of which would be later compiled into
‘Songs Of Pain’, ‘Don’t Be Scared’, ‘The What
Of Whom’ and ‘More Songs Of Pain 2’. After
arriving in Texas in 1983 he made the albums ‘Yip
Jump Music’ and ‘Hi, How Are You’ using a portable
cassette tape player and whatever music-making
instruments he could find.

‘Continued Story’, was recorded in 1985 and
it was Daniel’s first studio album.

Daniel’s place in the world as a musician was sealed
in 1992 when Kurt Cobain received his MTV
Music Award while wearing Daniel’s ‘Hi How Are
You’ t-shirt with the iconic “frog of innocence”.
