Gnod - Wuste Zeremonie

Wuste Zeremonie by Gnod

Gnod create space drone and other-worldly noise compositions in the vein of Sun-Ra Orkestra if they hung out and partied with Hawkwind. 'Wuste Zeremonie' is totally mongy and reminds me of the queer feeling associated with acid flashbacks! I reckon they are probably from Manchester and are more-likely-than-not mates with the awesome A Middle Sex. They plough a similar terrain, sans the tribal drum beats, but they are much trippier and stranger. This stuff is hard to review so check out the sound clips and judge for yourself though it's very pleasing to my ear if that means anything to you. Second track 'Roofless' is a particularly good child-like jam that shimmers and chimes with percussive glee. Well worth a listen i reckon. Only 70 hand printed CD so you gotta catch 'em quick.

Gnod have created some really interesting cosmic sounds on this album which is their debut release for Reverb Worship. The bands music is a mix of free tribal drumming, Hawkwind inspired festival band swirl, krautrock pulse and Sun Ra's outer worldliness."Wuste Zeremonie" is the bands new album. It contains three tracks and comes in an edition of 70 hand numbered copies. The covers are stencil sprayed in a variety of different colours. Each cover is unique.
