It's been a while since I heard any A-Z Rotator tracks. You may be familiar with the stuff that Uge Ortiz has had out on Ad Noiseam... Here he has a super action packed 3" disc out on Disco r Dance that's bursting to capacity with warped electronic ideas and twisted machine funk. The tracks are heavily sequenced and all run into one another which makes 'Shuffle Mode Irregularities' flow. I guess the idea is to play it on shuffle so you get a different listening experience each time. Anyway this is quality stuff that reminds me of mid-period Cylob in parts, Aphex etc. It definitely has some parts that really grab me, it has a good balance of total spannered wonkiness and sweet little melodies in there. Solid beats, fun acid squiggles and some good melodies, even a Schwarzenegger sample in there that gets the thumbs up."a masterful crash bang wallop course in the art of swerve programming and fax machine etiquette from the boss of frantic electronics himself, AZ-Rotator. Some say he hails from Spain, but those in the know (nudge nudge wink wink) forward his personal mail to a small asteroid just left of Betelgeuse 5. This adventurous ep crams 20 tracks into as many minutes, bustling with as many ideas, pops, fizzes and bangs. eventually this forms a down right illegal lesson in why people love AZ! ACE!"
