'Cantariolas' is the second release from Spanish artist and electronics pioneer Luis Solis who records under the name Banacal Intruder. Luis specializes in a mutated style of folktronica that is super cute and summary. 'Cantariolas' is a completely inoffensive and delightfully cheeky take on folktronica that sees Luis utilize vocals for the first time to enhance the poppiness of his compositions, it works really well though, as you can image, the vocal contributions are as subtle and low-key as the music itself. It's so light and airy that 'Catariolas' passes like a summer breeze refreshing and uplifting all those who come into contact with it. The combination of glitchy electronic pulses, warm guitar picking and quiet ambient sways are always going to sound appealing on a summers afternoon and i'll admit i'm enjoying this one very much. For those of you with hankering for Four tet/melodium style spring-tronica (you like my new genre/weather mash-up??) will wanna track this down.Description
"Cantariolas" is the sophomore release from Spanish folktronica wizzard Bacanal Intruder! With this new album Luis Solis takes his style one step further, adding new influences to the mix. While still collaborating with guest vocalists (in this case Katie Morrice on 'Long Day'), Luis uses his own voice on a couple of tracks, infusing a song-like feel to his electronic elements.
Still as sunny as ever, Bacanal Intruder's music is your perfect companion for a bike ride or a breakfast in bed!
