Wolf People's 'Tiny Circles' 7" is playing now and Brian has asked me if it's my dad doing a Cream cover. It's proper 70's sounding that's for sure. They've got the sound nailed here and both Business Lady and I are totally reminded of Hendrix/ Band of Gypsies. As far as this retro thing goes this is done well and I imagine that these guys are really content with just capturing the spirit and vibe of the past without feeling the need to try and be cutting edge. After all music is about a feeling. Ltd 7" on Battered Ornaments which is a Finders Keeper sister label for those of you that didn't already know. Nice sleeve too.Wolf People return and you know the score, on their
records they deliver beat driven psych blues with searing
tube guitars and distorted harmonica, whilst live they mix
ferocious buzz flute with drum-heavy acid rock. They draw
influence from Beefheart, Can, Turkish psych, delta
blues, English folk and west-coast acid rock to produce a
vital and unique sound.
The band was initially formed to create a live platform for
Jacks’ songs, which were recorded at his Bedford home
with a variety of vintage guitars and tape recorders. Since
then the band has grown immeasurably in confidence and
ability having played gigs alongside Malcolm Mooney,
Damo Suzuki, The Aliens, Circulus, Wendy Flower,
Voice Of The Seven Woods, Alela Dianne and many
others.
Available on strictly limited 7” vinyl (500 copies)

headed by Doug Shipton (Finders Keepers / Twisted
Nerve) with a DIY aesthetic, producing lovingly made
limited 7” vinyl runs of off-kilter independent music housed
