Arctic Circle - Prancing Pearl & Mothers Ruin

Prancing Pearl & Mothers Ruin by Arctic Circle

4...according to our on Thu 16 Jul, 2009.

I quite like this Arctic Circle 7". Indie pop's the reference point with the two tunes but they don't overdo anything, be it the tweeness or the arrangements which remain nice and spacey. The Casiotone keyboard lines, the teetering-on-the-edge-of-funk guitar and the background bongo bashing are all just shambolic enough to think "aw, bless 'em", which is pretty much what I like to take from this kind of thing. 'Prancing Pearl'/'Mother's Ruin' is out on Stitch Stitch.
