TRACKLISTING: (a) Vermillion Plaza (b) Vermillion Plaza (Mux Mool Sour Velcro remix)
OVERVIEW: Limited to 300 copies
Randolph Chabot is the 22-year-old auteur behind Deastro
“Moondagger is a genre-defying adventure with electro-pop roots, complete with a ferocious one-two
punch.” -Paste
“Vermillion Plaza,” the second single from Deastroʼs full-length debut, Moondagger, miniaturizes the albumʼs
best assets and shoots them out of a cannon. Plucky synth arpeggios, end-of-the-world choruses, joyously
careening melody lines-itʼs all there, squashed into a life-affirming three minutes and 50 seconds.
The B-side is Mux Moolʼs lumbering, half-time remix of “Vermillion Plaza.” The former Ghostly Swim featured
artist plunges Chabotʼs vocal into a sinister electronic nightmare-scape, squelching through mud puddles of
bass as synthesized strings circle the skies.
