Theres a new single by The Victorian Englishmen Gentlemans Club called 'Parrot'which not only comes on lovely yellow vinyl but you get a free parrot feather with it I really hope that no parrots were harmed in the production of this. How do you pluck a parrot without harming it? Anyway its a peculiar little single. The lead track is an oddball slice of pop/noise which reminds me of something maybe an early Nirvana or Mudhoney riff or something . It sounds wierdly slowed down with its fuzzy bass an woozy male and female vocals. On the other side you get an even more slowed down version. I checked the speed but its correct. It clanks away for four or five minutes but I'm quite pleased that a record has come in that I really don't know what to make of it. I kind of like it but there again maybe I really dislike it. Who knows?

‘Parrot’ will be the first single from the forthcoming album ‘Love On An Oil Rig'.
