Sometimes when a new voice comes into pop music the first reaction is one of horror. From Elvis Presley to Mark E Smith to Billy MacKenzie, Green Garside to Antony Hegarty. The unbridled raw sound of a new vocal instrument can take some getting used to. So when I first heard the Wild Beasts I thought it was some kind of joke. Some kids tone deaf idea of what Russel Mael of Sparks sounded like. The music was also irritating - a cross between Orange Juice and some cabaret act. But on their first album there were certain moments when you thought that this crazy idea could just work. And lo and behold on this their second album 'Two Dancers' with just a bit of restraint and the voice reigned in a bit we have one of the finest albums produced by an English guitar group for some time.Wild Beasts have made a record of earthly pleasures that sounds thrillingly widescreen, open and in awe of life; equally intoxicated and disturbed by the possibilities of pleasure.
‘Two Dancers’ is a streamlined, minimalist and user friendly Wild Beasts, moving as God had designed them to, with equal grace and gusto, equally elegant and ugly.
First single ‘Hooting & Howling’ was premiered on the Zane Lowe show and the band have sessions confirmed for Marc Riley, John Kennedy & Cerys Matthews (standing in for Nemone on 6 Music).
Renowned for their amazing live shows, Wild Beasts have a hectic live schedule lined up this summer with many festival appearances (including Oxygen, Truck, Latitude, Field Day et al) and a headline UK tour.

Debut album 'Limbo Panto' didn't make much an impression on me, never-the-less I decided to give Wild Beasts second album 'Two Dancers' a listen after seeing 9/10 reviews all over the place. To says it's brilliant would be an understatement, it is a incredible record. Well done Wild Beasts!
