The Oblivians have gotten back together and will be touring the States and Europe in 2009! Features Greg Cartwright of Reigning Sound, Compulsive Gamblers and '68 Comeback. Finally back in print! Yet another quality release from Sympathy For The Record Industry. The Oblivians were an American rock & roll trio from 1993 to 1998. In the 1990s, their blues-infused brand of unpolished, bravado, crudely-recorded punk rock made them one of the most popular and prominent bands within the underground garage punk scene. Formed in Memphis, Tennessee, the band consisted of three members -- Greg Cartwright, Jack Yarber, and Eric Friedl -- who alternated between instruments on stage and in the studio, each member serving as vocalist, guitarist, and drummer, in turn. The band recorded three LPs, as well as a number of EPs and singles, typically recording songs live in the studio. Never enough was the first 10” ep from 1994. Tracks Can't Take Another Night , Happy Blues, Never Enough, Feel Real Good, Plate In My Head, Five Hour Man, Shut My Mouth, Show Me What You Like
