Oh My God I've got a 7" by The Temper Trap to review. I've not heard 'em before actually. I'm assuming bad things just because they're on Infectious who've not put out a good record since some of the early Ash singles about 50 years ago. Anyway this is them doing some sort of ballady thing over a drum machine and some sort of organ... then some cheeky strummy guitars come in along with some pounding drums and totally change the whole shebang. It's all over the shop to be honest. Time changes and different things happen everywhere making it quite surprising on first listen. There's no catchy song in there that I can hear and I quite like that as it's clearly pertaining to be some sort of pop music even though it sounds like it's a never heard a 'pop' in it's life. It's weirdly not as bad as I was expecting!· The Temper Trap were selected as one of Radio 1’s introducing bands of
2009 and played a storming set at the Radio One Big Weekend.
· They will be playing at over sixty shows this summer, including Glastonbury,
Reading and Leeds, T in the Park, Latitude and Underage.
· The ‘Sweet Disposition’ digital bundle includes mixes by Evil Nine, Doorly
and Caged Baby.

Phil's so wrong.. this is a killer pop tune! a bit like Mansun, Mew, The Mary Onettes or Lorraine.. yes, cheesy and all.. it's made to (500) Days of Summer soundtrack..coolest romcom of 2009... buy it from Normans to prove Phil wrong
