Following on from the successes of debut album ‘House Of Commons’, Bradford’s finest White Light Parade will release their brand new single ‘We Start Fires’ on 20th July 2009 through Split Records. The second single to be lifted off the album, ‘We Start Fires’ is a real call-to-arms anthem in the making, showcasing the band’s ability to write shout-a-long choruses with a catchy hook and an impassioned message. It’s backed by ‘Rebellion Call’ a suitably defiant collaboration with King Blues frontman, Itch – a fan and friend of the band.
‘House Of Commons’ released in May was recorded in Devon with Pete Miles (fast rising producer who recently worked on the King Blues' debut album 'Save The World, Get The Girl') and is the sort of album you can easily see uniting a small army of believers. Encompassing the snarling three-chord anger of the Pistols, with anthemic choruses and the vintage melodies modeled on The Jam and The Clash, White Light Parade form their urban disillusionment into perfectly crafted catchy rock tune. The album received glowing reviews from the rock press and with this new slice of insurrection already causing a stir at radio – this summer could belong to White Light Parade.
