Black Meteoric Star - Dominatron/Anthem

Second of the three extended 12"s released that are edited to combine to create the outstanding CD by Gavin Russom's Black Meteoric Star: DFA is releasing three vinyl 12-inch singles with extended original versions, plus a full-length CD that edits and compiles all six tracks. These six pieces of music together comprise a narrative of clubbing and the long journey through the night and into the next day. On each track, Russom creates rich sonic landscapes using minimal but intense arrangements and high-energy repetition. Russom, a Rhode Island native, now lives and works in Berlin. He has produced many remixes recently, including a new single by Croatian techno artist Petar Dundov, one for New York’s avant garde duo Palms, and a remix featured on the upcoming soundtrack for the remake of the movie Tron.
