This is the CD collection of all the long unavailable Ramleh singles. This is now re-issued due to Ramleh's recent sprawling 6 page feature in "The Wire".Ramleh’s history goes back to the early ‘80’s when their brand of “power electronics” caused outrage, along with their contemporaries Whitehouse. Much has changed since then, and over the years they developed a reputation as one of the leading exponents of UK “noise rock”. Along with the likes of Skullflower, Splintered etc. they made the genre their own, to much acclaim from not only the UK, but Europe and America as well. In fact, many of the singles compiled on this disc were US only releases by such labels as “Sympathy For The Record Industry”.The records were regular features on John Peel’s Radio One show, and it’s expected that tracks from this will be featured on the show. The CD is packaged in the same style as the many of the singles were, featuring artwork culled from Philip Best’s personal collection. They have a loyal fan base that has been requesting a collection such as this. It has been over two years since the last Ramleh release on Dirter, the double CD collection “Works 3”. This set sold out on release, and it is expected that this will follow suit.
