The first track on 'Cancelled' by Kingsauce sounds well like 70's MOR popsters Supertramp with elements of 10cc. Second tune 'Prozac with Sugar Smacks' reminds me of a pumped up Beatles tune like 'Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey'. 'The Uneasy Reader' sounds like a kitsch 60's pop music. 'Our Gang' sounds like Squeeze!!! 'Chemicalized' sounds like a Santana/Steely Dan work-out. OK, i get it now, Kingsauce specialise in satirically aping the stadium rocking bands of the 60's and 70's with tongue firmly lodged in the cheek, they do it pretty well too. What it lacks in genuine soul it makes up for in charm and enthusiasm. An amusing selection of songs, especially the excellently titled 'Adam Sandler's Wawa Pedal', strangest spelling of wah wah I've ever seen yo.Be the first to review this record.
