Wintersleep - Weighty Ghost

Weighty Ghost by Wintersleep

2008 was an amazing year for Wintersleep, culminating in winning the Juno for best new artist in their homeland. 2009 is already shaping up to be just as fantastic. The release of their album in the UK 'Welcome To The Night Sky' gained plaudits across the board and stormed the radio with playlists and sessions across the board for the single 'Oblivion'. Their tour in February culminated with a blistering sold out London show. Now the band return with what most people consider to be their most anthemic song on the record, 'Weighty Ghost'. Coupled with a huge UK tour, including support dates with White Lies, the band are set to step up a level. With plays on daytime Radio 1 (Jo Whiley and Edith Bowman) already occurring 6 weeks out from the release and a Zane Lowe session in the can, expectations are high. As Mojo recently put it in their four-star review, "Welcome to the night Sky is their 'Life's Rich pageant'. In other words: wake up time".
