Okay once I've worked out what this 7" actually is then I'll proceed to write about it.. erm... Got it... It's by Her Space Holiday and it's called 'Concrete Kids'. It's hand numbered of 100 copies and comes in screen printed sleeve on Ruined Potential Records. The first side I spin is based around samples of kid's voices with melancholy strings and a simple beat. Although it has all the ingredients to be a heart wrencher of a track it fails to move me. Nothing melts the Ice man and his heart of stone. The other side is two tracks. The first is a laid back little tune with piano and synth glitches and bleeps and the introduction of some kind of horn (not sure what kind but probably not a shoe horn). I think the voices are from the film 'Streetwise' which is about 9 desperate teenagers and is mentioned on the sleeve.Be the first to review this record.
