Infinite Body - CMBCMEINAPTD

CMBCMEINAPTD by Infinite Body

4...according to our on Thu 09 Jul, 2009.

Kyle Parker has jacked in his excellently named 'Gator Surprise' noise project to make way for Infinite Body which explores a far more subdued avenue. 'CMBCMEINAPTD' goes deep into heady drone territory with some thick fuzzy textures. I'm reminded a little of Growing's 'Colour Wheel' album. Phil is reminded of early Belong stuff. After hearing their 'October Language' LP earier I can second that notion....He uses some quite different and colourfull sounds over the duration of the album. It's consistently hypnotic throughout with some nice use of repetition and subtle shifts in mood. Ltd clear vinyl on Teardrops.

Kyle Parker is Infinite Body. Like most of Southern Californias harsh noise youth crew (impregnable, privy seals, pedestrian deposit), Infinite Body is the polar opposite of kyles former project, gator surprise. There is something about the shift from creating unrelenting, harsh noise to ambient dreamlike drones that works perfectly; flowing with dedication and intensity from similar veins. Infinite Bodys debut cd white hymn was a masterpiece of blurred lights, colorful, but heavy synthesizer and vocoder pieces.Recorded after touring with No Age and Abe Vigoda, CMBCMEINAPTD shows Infinite Body going further into dreamscape territory. Everytime I listen to it I feel like I am taking a bath. Limited to 300 copies, clear vinyl. Now signed to PPM.
