OK more from this Jack White blue series on Third Man Recordings. As with everything on the label the single is produced and mixed by White and is ludicrously limited. Rachelle Garniez has this lush looking 1 sides etched 7" with a 70's esque ballad which goes all rocky and reminds me of one of the 'fun songs' from Sesame Street. It's fun and frothy... her voice goes from rock bottom to ludicrously high in a syllable. You've got to hear it to be believe it. It's remarkably entertaining and the wurlitzer in the background is making me happy 'n all. I do like a nice surprise!! My House Of Peace is 7" only and once we've sold out of these copies we can't get anymore so don't dawdle. There's some cool shizzle happening on this label! And the second offering from Forte on the Third Man Records label: Rachelle Garniez is a performer, singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Hailed by New York Press as one of the greatest songwriters of our time described as "a certified free spirit with a rich voice and a wild imagination" by the New Yorker, and featured in Papers annual Beautiful People issue, Garniezs adventures began as a street musician in Europe and a fixture in the art scene of 1980s New York City. She formed her own band, The Fortunate Few, in 1997 and has since then released four CDs of original songs on her label, Real Cool Records, while also participating in a variety of music ventures including performances and collaborations with the Sxip Shirey, Thomas Dolby, the Marvin Sewell Group, Jenny Scheinman and Bill Plympton, to name a few. Garniez is currently the co-musical director of renowned musical theater troupe The Citizens Band.
