OVERVIEW: With her last single A-listed by Radio 2, Jem returns with a new single 'And So I Pray' on 25th May 2009.

Taken from her new album, 'Down To Earth', released last month on Dramatico, the new single is a lullaby soundscape about escaping it all, and is the follow up to Jem's last single 'It's Amazing', which was A-listed by Radio 2 in January, and which featured recently on Hollyoaks, prominently in 2008's blockbuster chick-flick 'Sex And The City' and in 'Beverly Hills 90210' recent revamp pilot launch.

One of the first artists to really enjoy a significant boost from well placed music syncs around her debut album, Jem remains more popular than ever with TV and film musical directors, with music from the new album trailing the brand new hit US TV series 'The Mentalist', in the new series of Jennifer Love Hewitt's 'Ghost Whisperer' - both of which are being heavily plugged in the UK - and in 'CSI Miami', 'Gossip Girl' and 'One Tree Hill'.

'And So I Pray' was co-written by Jem and Kevin Beber (one half of Tsunami One with DJ Adam Freeland, whose label Marine Parade Jem used to run in Brighton) and produced by 'Detroit' Mike Bradford (Kid Rock, Deep Purple).

With new album, 'Down To Earth', Jem expands her sonic horizons even further, with Latin, gospel and African influences. 'Down To Earth' was recorded in Detroit and Los Angeles, and in addition to Mike Bradford, production duties came courtesy of Lester Mendez (Shakira, Nelly Furtado), Jeff Bass, the Grammy Award-winning producer behind Eminem, D12 and 50 Cent, and on an electro tip, Greg Kurstin (Beck, Kylie Minogue, The Bird & The Bee).
