The Unofficial Remixes Of Moderat Pt. 1 by Shackleton/Headhunter/T++ has arrived and pretty cool it is too. Shackleton's mix surprised me a lot as I was kind of just expecting him to whack a load of tribalish/ ethnic drums in there but he's come up with a deep and spacious groover that retains elements of the original, there's a brooding bassline and undecipherable vocals that give it a warped pop feel. Headhunter goes for a dark and heavy pure dubstep stomper that really does the business for me There's a short breakdown in the middle and it kicks back in for maximum crowd pleasure. The main event has to be the T++ mix which really couldn't be anyone else, it's a strange rhythm that shuffles along and really gets me moving, then there's some highly detailed futuristic sound design happening. If you like the recent Monolake 12" then this is essential. All three mixes on here are top notch.

Moderat is the uber-cool collaboration between German superstar friends Modeselektor & Apparat.

This limited edition 12” features exclusive re-interpretations of tracks from their brand new, self titled album on BPitch Control.

Remixes come from Shackleton (Skull Disco), Headhunter (Tempa) & T++ (Erosion, Apple Pips, Monolake).

Super-heavy cut from Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin.

Vinyl only, no digital release!
