Nice to hear John Peel sampled on a Stars of the Lid track. Ant says he's probably been sampled more than James Brown which is quite amusing. This here thing is a tour CD, numbering 9 tracks which is constructed from out-takes & previously unreleased (thought they were the same thing.....) plus a really obscure piece from a '97 era split 12". You know these stately, graceful post classical/ambient/chamber music excursions into space are the work of contemporary genius, I can't tell you how de-stressed & content I feel after listening to their stuff. It's actually too important as music to actually start deconstructing with words, we could go on about how moving & brilliant they are. This looks like a really essential mopping-up exercise and considering their popularity, I see this hanging round these parts for no time at all. There's only 100 available to UK shops so don't waste time reading this, go put it in your cart silly Billys.
