Klaus Says Buy the Record throw a bit of a curveball on the first track of this double CD Unlabel compilation by being well Morrissey all over the place but following it up with Action Beat's percussive blasting does cannily highlight Unlabel's open-minded approach to things which, while highly commendable, makes reviewing their compilations a bit of a daunting task. Daunting like getting the amount of 'un's in Unununium right. If you're after a cross section of the post-grassrootscounteralternaculturezeitgeistrockscene these 34 quality tracks from the likes of Cove, Dorcia, The Notorious Hi-Fi Killers, Lords, Death of London etc. etc. will handily fill you in... And all for just £7.99. I'd buy that for a dollar (£7.99)!

Another new compilation for 2008/’09 featuring 34 tracks from 34 artists that we like very much, spread over two CDs - almost two hours of brand new music, including all the usual suspects and lots more new guests.

This year there was a special limited edition version of the compilation, which came in a hand made felt sleeve with a fabric Unlabel logo on one side and stitched snowflakes on the other (shown below). This version was limited to 10 copies and the number of snowflakes denoted the number from 1 to 10. They were crafted by Sarah Williamson and given away to close friends of the label at the 2008 Unlabel Christmas Party.
