Peaches - Talk To Me

Talk To Me by Peaches

4...according to our on Fri 24 Apr, 2009.

And finally this week a new 7" by Peaches has just arrived on XL Records. Co written by Gonzales the filth wizard with a bust sofa creeping out her pants aims the first fruits of her forthcoming album squarely at my ears. 'Talk To Me' sounds like a raunchy Prince song that he wrote for Sheena Easton or someone. Business Lady reckons it's not good enough to be one of those... possiblly one of the songs he'd write for Vanity 6 or Appolonia. Either way it's not her finest effort but it's reasonably entertaining.

Having been away from the music scene for nearly three years, Peaches returns to the fold with the double a-side single ‘Talk To Me / More,’ Taken from her forthcoming album ‘I Feel Cream.’
Co-Produced by Soulwax, ‘Talk To Me’ is a bouncy electro-pop anthem-in-waiting, whilst ‘More,’ produced by Peaches, sees fuzzy synth underlying a thumping house beat with Peaches implying “gonna rip this party into shape / gonna make my move it’s getting late.”
Peaches makes her live return at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the Ether Festival on Friday 10th April along with her new backing band, the German rock outfit Sweet Machine.
