It's the first time i've had the opportunity to review anything from Om since my contract of employment began here at Norman Towers. Bit of a bummer that it's a live album but as far as live albums go this is a good one. It's not Queen's Live Killers good or Live and Dangerous by the mighty Thin Lizzy good but 'Live Conference' is certainly a decent product worth investigation. Lovingly packaged in a die cut super heavy duty tip-on style jacket it looks the business yo! 'Live Conference' is a live document of the album 'Conference of birds' recorded at a show in New York on a 24 track remote console. I love this post sleep bonging rockin' shit for sure and Om are amazing, no doubt about that. My only gripe is that this is a little bit quiet, a little bit distant, like listening to Om about half a mile from the speakers in a open field. Sounds alot better if you turn that shit up, so thats what i recommend. Definitely an improvement on the previous 'Live in Jerusalem' L.P and certainly worth owning if you are down with Om, which you proably should be. Now pass the chong dude.Live Converence was recorded on 24 track remote audio and pressed at RTI in order to achieve the highest possible quality. Die cut super heavy duty tip-on style jackets by Stoughton. On this night Om performed their seminal album Conference of the Birds live in its entirety. Newly invoked energy resonates in the sound of the band. The dynamics between Emil Amos and Al Cisneros have rendered these songs, and Om’s sound into a higher evolution. Here we are given a proper documentation of Conference era Om.
