This looks dark. The front cover has a picture of a goat's skull (I think) with a cross on it's head, surrounded by an old Sears stereo listening to an 7" single with a bottle of some innocuous spirits at hand. The inside cover has a pic of some chap (quite possibly Josh Lay) looking a bit Charles Manson-ish and very serial killer ish. OK I'm scared. Not scared enough to turn it off but scared enough to leave the light on. This is a 2 track CD by Josh Lay called Poison Drinker which is a reissue of 55 copies. The original press was equally as tiny and that sold out in minutes apparently. This is dark droney hum fuzz and and the what the label bit says on the site... ie.... “Poison Drinker is a document of my life during a pretty gross place and time. Lots of sleepless nights, cheap booze, bad dreams, winter depression.” Sums it up perfectly. It's dark and twisted sounding and it would win sinister release of the week award if we had one.“Poison Drinker is a document of my life during a pretty gross place and time. Lots of sleepless nights, cheap booze, bad dreams, winter depression.”
