Team Waterpolo have a new single out. They've signed to Sony after just one debut indie single. Cripes... This is bouncy energetic commercial indie of which the likes you've heard a thousand million times before. I do like the hilarious falsetto vocals which appear out of nowhere... They're not on it as much as I'd like. It sort of reminds me of the Black Kids.. That kind of bouncy fun thing. Loads of cheesy sounding keyboards chucked in as well... The B-side has just started and it sounds like Calvin Harris having a fight with Franz Ferdinand. I really don't know you know... 'Room 44' is on 7" and CD...New signings to Epic, Preston based Team Waterpolo release their debut single 'Room 44' on May 4th. Receiving rave reviews; 'It's a light, bright, energetic sound, like an all-boy Go! Team with sing-along intros and shouty choruses. What's not to like?' Guardian, 'Harmony-drenched, sampladelic power pop, Team Waterpolo will be splashing around in the mainstream by the end of the year' Telegraph.

no-one ever sung about aliens before, magic!
the synth seems to come in at the right time
and the beat gets your right foot going without
realising what's happening. You can't stop.

wow, i had heard about these guys a while ago but it seems their sound has really evolved since they started touring.they are the first group of musicians for a long time that i believe could made pop music cool again. they are a real band, real musicians (and good ones at that!), and their sound from one song to another can go from bright and cheerful, to dark and dirty. they have credibility, versatility, and fantastic songs that are catchy, melodic, yet powerful.i had been checking on their myspace site from time to time since i accidently stumbled upon their live show last year supporting supergrass. but i was beginning to think they had been swallowed into nothingness until this single smacked me in the face. really pleased to see that a band like this are finally coming out of the woodwork, good luck to them
