This is the second 7" release from new label, Vanity Case that brings together long time friends and collaborators Geese and Rag Pantal. The Geese track 'Kensington Terrace' is a wear your heart on your sleeve, grand piano based, tragi-ballad with interesting saxophone and drum machine elements that elevate the track from standard fair to interesting listening. 'Sweetpea and suzanne' by Reg Pantal is yet another heartfelt number with plenty of piano and excellent dual vocal melodies. It plods and strolls in a lazy Palace music-esq way and is quite a grower on second listen. A lovely 7" if you are in the mood for some charming balladeering.Following the success of their first Vanity Case 7", The Plane's Gone Dad, Geese join forces with Reg Pantal for this terrific new split 7" single. Geese and Reg Pantal are long time friends and have had many musical collaborations over the years. Reg Pantal has left the hectic world of the Taiwanese circus and retired to Turnbury Rise, Primley Park to raise a family. Sweetpea and Suzanne is a personal narrative of seemingley just another day, reflecting on the past and present in wakefulness and in a dream, with the bombshell of a future altered forever. Reg is expertly backed by Tom Turner on piano and additional vocal. Kensington Terrace, by Geese is a lucid dream-like song exploring themes of loss and grief. So, two heartfelt and moving songs on one 7”.
