Yellow moon band are some kind of Psyche/prog style band with Grateful dead-esq, jam band tendency. They sound like the kind of band that would kill it at the Green man festival with there mix of afro-beat, space rock. 'Polaris/Lunadelica/Chimney' is a short e.p of remixes from Time and Space machine and XELA. 'Polaris-7:30 Join the Chant mix' by Time and Space is astral space rock with voodoo, afro-beat chant and a suitable amount of Chanting and wailing. It's a consistently upbeat dance number that you might get away with spinning at the discotheque. The Two XELA mixes on the side B are more introverted cuts for home use only. 'Lunadelica' has an eastern drone feel that sounds light and uplifting with swirls of psychedelic guitar drifting in and out of the mix of static drone and hiss. 'Chimney' is probably the best of the three tracks, a mammoth 22 minute, three part mix that embraces all the elements of Yellow moon band's sound. Part one is a krautrock/space jam workout with plenty of crazy synths and nice drumming. Kinda reminds me of a less intense Guapo with elements of Kling Klang in there too. The second and third parts decend into frenzied space drone with oscillating synths and ambient vocal chants dominating the mix. It's pretty trippy stuff and well worth a listen. Out now on Static Caravan on tasty Green vinyl, pressing sounds nice too.Remix 12” on Translucent Green Vinyl , edition of 500 copies only.
