Calling your band Master Musicians of Bukkake, what a great idea! You can imagine their mum's doing a collective "That's nice, dear" when they were told.. Just before asking "So when are we going to see you on Top of the Pops?" By timesing the name by the artwork and dividing it by the album's title I got an Experimental Ritualistic Psychedelic Rock score of 92, which seems to be about right. Everyone's into this shit just now, which is cool 'cos it always sounds good, but I imagine it might start to get pretty tired sometime fairly soon. On 'Totem One', these likely lads (featuring members/ex members of such fine beat combos as Earth, SunnO))), Grails and Burning Witch, plus guest spots from Alan Bishop and Timba Harris) pursue a percussive gamelan style full of sinister droning chants and worrying incantations along with all sorts of exotic instrumentation. Very enjoyable, says I.Master Musicians of Bukkake began in the fertile music scene of the Pacific Northwest in 2003. Originally founded as a collective of musicians from the overflowing community of Seattle, MASTER MUSICIANS OF BUKKAKE features members of EARTH, SUNN O)), GRAILS, BURNING WITCH. In 2005 they released "Visible Sign Of the Invisible Order" a recording of improvised ritualistic musical gatherings by the collective. Their new album 'Totem One', the first part of a Northwest trilogy, marks an evolution from their first record - MMOB has now solidified into a 7 piece cosmic psyche force. Relying more on the electric power of psyched guitars, analog synth chants, and exotic heavy percussion, 'Totem One' echoes dusty fuzz rock in epic form.
MASTER MUSICIANS OF BUKKAKE are: Milky (Earth), Don McGreevy (Earth), Randall Dunn (Sunn O)) ), Grails, Kinski, Earth), Jim Davis, Brad Mowen (Burning Witch), Dave Abramson (The Dimished Men), Bill Horist. Featuring guests: Alan Bishop (Sun City Girls, Alvarius B), Timba Harris (Secret Chiefs 3)

Quite possibly the greatest collaboration of musicians in the last couple of years. An absolute must for any SUN CITY GIRLS and EARTH fan.
