‘Voice Of Paradise’ is the Crayon Fields’ first UK release and a vital precursor to their highly anticipated second album ‘All The Pleasures Of The World’, set for release in mid 2009. Recorded in the clouds, ‘Voice Of Paradise’ is a love song that rings out in the natural reverb of heaven and features a choir of bewitched soprano voices, a string quartet and a four-octave guitar solo. Meanwhile, wistful B-side ‘So Much Time’ decorates the tender thump of mid tempo drum machine with delicate guitar melodies, seductive basslines and glistening organ flourishes. Their debut psych pop odyssey ‘Animal Bells’ topped numerous best-of-2006 lists and received gushing praise in blogs and music journals all over the world. Since its release, Crayon Fields have toured with a diverse range of international acts such as Cornelius, The New Pornographers, Deerhoof, Stereolab, Adam Green, Peter Bjorn and John, The Dirty Three, Lloyd Cole and Built To Spill. In celebration of their first UK 7 inch on the Passport Label, and in anticipation of their forthcoming album, Crayon Fields will be touring Europe and the UK in April and May.
