"Out Into The Days From Here" is the third album from cult Glasgow band The Starlets. Recorded by Duncan Cameron (Teenage Fanclub, Trashcan Sinatras), the album features an eclectic collection of songs which have been partly inspired by the tradition of previous independent Scottish pop acts such as Orange Juice, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Blue Nile and the band have gained plaudits from their musician contemporaries ("Very original, top stuff." - Richard Hawley, "Check out the Starlets, they've got soul, oh yes" - Stuart Murdoch, Belle and Sebastian). Featuring contributions from Camera Obscura's Nigel Baillie on trumpet and folk luminary Catriona Mackay on harp, the album veers from lush, wide screen, string-laden torch songs, via gentle acoustic intimacy, to two minute trashy fuzz pop songs, and back again.
