William - Slightly Delighted

6 track LP vinyl and CD set mini album, limited to 500 copies. South London based three piece William follow their widely acclaimed debut album with the release of 6 track mini-album Slightly Delighted on Monday 4th May. The record looks to build on the generous press and radio coverage their debut received, including support from Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and XFM. They’ve also played a number of high profile gigs and shared a stage with friends and peers Wild Beasts, Twilight Sad, Johnny Foreigner and Danananaykroyd. Recorded with Owen Turner, Slightly Delighted represents a significant step into new territories for William. Dinosaur Jr. and Pavement remain key touchstones, but there are elements of Minutemen and Violent Femmes in the melodic basslines and propulsive drumming.  With such a well conceived and lovingly honed combination of influences and ingenuity, William are likely to be enthralling ever wider audiences in 2009.
