YEAH YEAH YEAHS are back back BACK with the single “Zero” - a huge, electronic dance-floor anthem of a song. NOTHING else feels like this right now. "We've got a death grip on the adolescent way of feeling things," says Karen O, touching on the track’s euphoric abandon.
The reaction to the single and the album it appears on - It's Blitz! - has been nothing short of phenomenal, with many appraising it as their career best. Q called it “Spectacular” and awarded it 5*, Time Out also awarded it 5*, with many other glowing reviews starting to come through across the board.
“Zero” itself has been hailed an instant indie-dancefloor classic, with extensive club support, saying there hasn't been a reaction like it since Kings of Leon's 'Sex On Fire' or MGMT's 'Time To Pretend.' The track already has playlist love at Radio 1, XFM, 6Music, with further spot plays coming in from relevant shows. Zane Lowe on Radio 1 has awarded ‘It’s Blitz!’ his Album Of The Week slot, and has confirmed a session with the band when they arrive for UK promotion from 3rd April. Grimshaw also named it Radio 1's 'Weekend Anthem', proving the love for the record outside of specialist only shows.
The single formats come backed with highly desirable remixes, by MSTRKRFT, Erol Alkan and Animal Collective. The formats will be available for 1 week only, driving fans to purchase on impact week.
