OVERVIEW: The Debut Ltd 7” single from a very special band – Burn l The l Negative. The North’s answer to Sussex’s arch miserablists, White Lies, Carlisles’ Burn The Negative’s blend of new wave electro pop casts a wry and canny eye over relationships, fame, and late noughties Britain. The four piece band cite Japan, David Sylvian, Gary Numan, Sonic Youth, Bowie, Baby Ford, Nine Inch Nails and a dozen others as holding key spots in their music collections.
Wonder Why (backed with the AA. Side groover Sing Around Me), is a unique slice of Indie Elecronica. Mark Bakers lyrics and vocals about loss is given an uplift by the electronic synths and guitar sounds held together by Gareth Milburns heavy Bass line. With a confident  swagger and a genuine crossover potential the single is the perfect foundation builder preceding the album ‘IN THE ATMOSPHERE’.
With an imagery almost as strong as their songs, the band have a genuine feeling of collectibility. Only 250 of this debut single which will be deleted after the final copy is sold. Recorded in Dean Street Studios London (Originally Famed for Tony Visconti and David Bowie) and Mastered in Abbey Road the sound is sonically premier.
