Ben Kweller - Sawdust Man

Sawdust Man by Ben Kweller

Yes, after a couple of ridiculous production delays by a bumbling manufacturer (contact us!  we'll tell you which one!), these fine slabs of sweet vinyl are IN THE HOUSE and moving back out fast!  Order yours now here and at selected independent retailers across the country.

Ben gets his deep Texas roots on with this one. The limited edition of 2500 45 rpm record includes the single "Sawdust Man" and a brand new song "Send Me Down the Road" that is an exclusive B side and unavailable elsewhere.

This is some stone cold country rock, my friends. Dig out yer dad's fringed leather jacket and catch the groove. Think old school Leon Russell at a summer festival gig in '71. Think Gram Parsons blowing a bunch of rednecks' minds with his high lonesome soul.

This special 7" is released in conjunction with Ben's new record on ATO Changing Horses released February 3, 2009. The album was produced by Kweller and recorded mostly in Austin, TX. With Horses, his fourth full-length album, Kweller returns to his small-town roots as he takes one of his side-roads, country music, and makes it the main road. It’s a collection of stories with a hymnal quality. The genre seems so natural that you think he’s finally settled down, at least for one album.
