You turn your back for a second then turn around and before you know it there are three new 3" CD's on WeePOP! I get my paws on the Just Joans' 'Love And Other Hideous Accidents'. The tune of 'Hideous Accident' recalls Yazoo's 'Only You' with lyrics that make me want to laugh and cry simultaneously. We're reminded a little of Aidan Moffat on that one. The girl from the band treats us to her sultry Scottish voice on the mournful 'Teenage Tears'. A really sweet song. I really like what these guys do and it seemed many of you folks did too as their last release on the label flew out. I can totally recommend this indie pop gem to keep it company. The bloke's lyrics crack me up man! Just really lovely honest music. Recommended. * Track Listing
