Time for super happy fun time with Whitehouse! From the pretty Trevor Brown cover to the charmingly-titled classic 'Just Like a Cunt' you know you're in safe hands with the Albini produced Quality Time. It reminds me a little of what Phil was saying about the Khanate LP the other week, it might be harsh and harrowing but it's also just kind of funny. On the first tune here it's been decided that he sounds like Alf Stewart from Home & Away shouting obscenities from a Corsa going at 90mph down the M1 and on the second he turns into a little goblin mumbling about shit and human toilets. Friday is truly party time!Recorded in 1995 by Steve Albini and William Bennett in Chicago, Quality Time. marked the end of the mid-period Whitehouse with an album containing the original version of the notorious Just Like A Cunt featuring Philip Best on vocals, and the indescribably disturbing Baby; also features the beautiful cover artwork by the now Tokyo-based Trevor Brown.
