I'm well down with the Lovepump United label and i'm also pretty keen on the hypnotic drones of Clipd Beaks. As you can imagine Clipd Beaks live are an unending spiel of freeform, improvised madness but this 7" single release sees the band embracing structured ideas with the greatest of ease to provide you with an excellent snippet of what the group are all about without having to invent the 24" single so they can jam all night. I should imagine that the power of modern recording technologies has helped in the this department. 'Visions' is a departure from Clipd Beaks usual improvised style and sees the band embrace looped structures with consistent vocals. The music is a combination of minimal beats and droning sounds that could have been made on anything!!! Guitars!?! keyboards!?! keytars!?!......i don't know but i'm fully possessed by the strange and unnerving style of the track which can only be a good thing. 'Dank swamp' is super ambient with distant rhythmic shards all scattered about. If you've not heard Clipd Beaks before then take the time to introduce yourself. Good band.

Clipd Beaks are an American band that make new sounds and jam for ages. Not bound by the times or style, they embrace their unconscious through their music and follow its will.

They are close friends that have been practicing this shared mentality long before starting to call themselves Clipd Beaks in 2003. This has kept them hard to classify as they survive in their own world.

Their live shows tend to deviate from their recordings. Loud, hypnotic, improvised, and unrehearsed, you will never see them play the same show twice.
