I know nothing of TVO except that I've got this 12" playing on the deck and it's got a 2562 remix on it.. Or 'refix' as the cool cats say nowadays. God knows what that's all about. What you get here is a fine mashup of dubstep, hip-hop and ravey housiness that definitely sounds pretty unique although I don't think the tunes ever quite take off the way I'd like. The 2562 remix predictably takes things to a spacier place, laced with echo and bass to massage your face. I'm a poet and I didn't even know it. To be honest I think I prefer this to most of the stuff he's put out himself, it's a pretty easy going tune that doesn't go for the all-out stark feel he usually tends to gravitate towards, instead warming up with the source material and evoking a little bit of a Peverelist feel. Loving the clipped finger clicking on that his effort too. The Dark Is Rising (anyone read that when they were younger?) is out on Stuff.Tracklisting:
