Now Brett's just made me laugh by showing us a Pitchfork article on the nature of celebrity written by Carlos D of NY miserabalists Interpol. Now to dissolve that article's unbelievably wanky overblown pretention, we've stuck on a copy of Konntinent's split CDr with Adam Flynn. Nothing like atmospheric dark drone to blow the goth cobwebs out your head. And this is one sinister breeze of forboding sonic wind from Mr. Flynn. His second of the two 'Iterations' is a gliding, haunting piece that reminds me just as much of early Sheffield electronica in it's embryonic bass pulse as the modern texture 'n' drone pioneers such as Stars of the Lid & Labradford. The Kontinnent tracks are 4 lovely slices of eclectic, drifting post rock & ambience that don't need a push since you all devoured his new full length last week. They're merely the icing on the very sweet cake that is Adam Flynn. This is the last few of this baby, there's only 100 numbered copies in the worldddddd. YumIF I COULD BUY A MAP OF HOPE... is a collaborative split ep between konntinent and adam flynn who is also known as GP~00. this wonderful 45 minute journey starts with adam flynn's iterations in two parts – beautiful and atmospheric soundscapes that cover you in weightlessness and make you feel lost in space. but suddenly there seems to be a light far away and a deep cinematic soundtrack takes you on a march to another universe where konntinent creates his very own and unique world of beautifully deep drones, lovely clicks, cuts and delicate melodies on guitar. enjoy your journey into a space of hope...
the ep is strictly limited to 100 copies and comes in a handmade, numbered
sleave.
