Unknown - Swarm/ Hubble

Swarm/ Hubble by Unknown

The Thriller series commenced in 2008 with a super quick sellout 12". The shadowy collective, formed from the roster of a certain unnamed label,
surpassed all expectations with this second platter, shifting their palette from eighties soul re-edits to rave hop and slow house. We'd love to tell you
who produced 'Swarm' on the A-side but we're actually unsure ourselves, but trust us when we say the people behind these productions are about as
sought-after as they come in 2009. This cut is intensified rave goodness with a jagged hacksaw synthline sounding like the offspring of Belgian New
beat force-fed Zomby and Rustie records, compressed into a slow rolling juggernaut of immense heaviness. In stark counterpoint to the controlled rage
of the A-side is the sumptuous 'Hubble' on the flip, sounding equal parts Newworldaquarium, Kassem Mosse and Theo Parrish - all built by a set of
hands and ears with a far wider scope than 99% of the rest of the crowd. At a lengthy 8 minutes this is one for the smokers, the cosmic cats and late
night trippers - fill your boots !
