Ashtray Navigations - Ten Layer Terror

Ten Layer Terror by Ashtray Navigations

4...according to our on Thu 19 Feb, 2009.

Great underground unsung heroes Ashtray Navigations are back in the hit parade with a new very limited (to 100) CDr called 'Ten Layer Terror'. If you are fan of their previous output then you will want to snap this up with immediate effect. Full of treated guitar experiments, ambient noisescapes, found sounds, industrial scrapings, electronic musings and on the magnificently titled 'A cake full of pliers' the sound of being at a festival of grinding machines and being stuck between the stages.....or alternatively the sound the inside of your TV makes once its switched off and can do what the hell it likes.

Ten short pieces with the accent on brevity, for a change. Recorded in late '08, runs the usual Ashtray gamut - psych guitar flourishes, chugging synthesis and hard compresso-rock and all the rest, but in a less rambling timeframe....could possibly be described as "coming attractions" disc with a few sidelong glances in the rear view mirror.....limited to 100 copies on green vinyl CDRs
distributor price - £4.00 each plus postage
